Girl With Dandelion

The art of creating silhouettes dates from prehistoric times, note the cave paintings found in France. The art of cutting faces of loved ones has been around for a long time. These pieces have an elegant and timeless quality about them. That is why I extended the silhouette series to include Silhouette Faces. One of my fondest memories is of the kids bringing me a bouquet of dandelions. No one minded them picking the bright colored weed that they thought was so pretty. And they are pretty even if they are all over your lawn in the spring. Don’t you love the innocent look on her face? Like all the Faces Silhouettes, Girl with Dandelion, is simple, quick and fun to stitch. Finished as a stand-up or in a frame these pictures are sure to become a treasured part of your décor. Happy stitching! Eileen
